Pliè: a bending of the knees. A half bend is a demi pliè; a deep bend is a grand pliè. 
Tendu: means to stretch (the foot).
Passe: a position in which one leg, knee turned out, slides up to the knee of the other leg, touches and slides down again.
Ararabesque: a body balanced over one foot with the other leg fully extended behind, and the arm extended, which should create a long line of symmetry from finger tips to toes.
