Jack and Jackie sailing at Hyannis Port. President Kennedy smiling and confident with the radiant first lady by his side in Dallas shortly before the assassination. The Zapruder film. Jackie Kennedy mourning at the funeral while her small son salutes the coffin. These images have become larger than life; more than simply photographs of a president, or of celebrities, or of a tragic event, they have an extraordinary power to captivate–today as in their own time. In "Shooting Kennedy, "David Lubin speculates on the allure of these and other iconic images of the Kennedys, using them to illuminate the entire American cultural landscape. He draws from a spectacularly varied intellectual and visual terrain–neoclassical painting, Victorian poetry, modern art, Hollywood films, TV sitcoms–to show how the public came to identify personally with the Kennedys and how, in so doing, they came to understand their place in the world. This heady mix of art history, cultural history, and popular culture offers an evocative, consistently entertaining look at twentieth-century America. Marilyn Monroe, Sylvia Plath, Donna Reed, "Playboy "magazine, Jack Ruby, the Rosenbergs, and many more personalities, little-known events, and behind-the-scenes stories of the era enliven Lubin’s account as he unlocks the meaning of these photographs of the Kennedys. Elegantly conceived, witty, and intellectually daring, "Shooting Kennedy "becomes a stylish meditation on the changing meanings of visual phenomena and the ways they affect our thinking about the past, the present, and the process of history.

JFK. Analysis of a Shooting: The Ultimate Ballistics Truth Exposed

$18.34

JFK. Analysis of a Shooting, is an expert, detailed and comprehensive analysis of the assassination of President Kennedy. The work takes into account all the elemental factors that lead to a complete understanding of the shooting, and which will eventually serve to establish the undisclosed facts behind the tragic event. In its process of discovery the writing scrutinizes each shot taken at the motorcade. Additionally, it considers the caliber of the rifle used in the shooting. It takes into account the relative speed (in feet per second), and the inherent power of the bullets fired at the President. It analyzes the position of the alleged gunman and its relationship to his target. It also explorers the extent of every bullet wound, as it relates to the shot that caused it. In addition, the work probes the Zapruder film, as a visual record of the event, to denote the crucial frames that expose previously unrevealed facts of the shooting. And finally, the work reviews the trajectory of every single shot taken at the motorcade, from point of impact back towards the suspected point of origin, and their angles of entry into their targets. The book denotes, through conclusive interpretation of the evidence gathered, logical reasoning, and concrete ballistic principles that a total of five shots were fired at President Kennedy. Additionally, it also explains why it can be concluded that none of the shots fired at the President actually originated from the Texas School Book Depository Building, Oswald’s alleged sniper position. Orlando Martin joined active-duty military service in the U.S. Navy in December of 1976. Contrary to the WC’s claim, authorities never had any "court-worthy" evidence putting Oswald in the sniper’s window.  Finally, looking at the evidence from a totally new perspective you will see definite proof of a conspiracy. Excerpt: JFK is a 1991 American film directed by Oliver Stone. It examines the events leading to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and alleged subsequent cover-up, through the eyes of former New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison (played by Kevin Costner). Garrison filed charges against New Orleans businessman Clay Shaw (Tommy Lee Jones) for his alleged participation in a conspiracy to assassinate the President, for which Lee Harvey Oswald (Gary Oldman) was found responsible by two Government investigations: the Warren Commission, and the House Select Committee on Assassinations (which concluded that there was another assassin shooting with Oswald). The film was adapted by Stone and Zachary Sklar from the books On the Trail of the Assassins by Jim Garrison and Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy by Jim Marrs. Stone described his fictionalized film as a “counter-myth” to the “fictional myth” of the Warren Commission. The film became embroiled in controversy even before it was finished filming, after The Washington Post national security correspondent George Lardner showed up on the set. Based on the first draft of the screenplay, he wrote a scathing article attacking the film. Upon JFK’s theatrical release, many major American newspapers ran editorials accusing Stone of taking liberties with historical facts, including the film’s implication that President Lyndon B. Johnson was part of a coup d’etat to kill Kennedy. After a slow start at the box office, Stone’s film gradually picked up momentum, earning over $205 million in worldwide gross. JFK went on to win two Academy Awards and was nominated for eight in total, including Best Picture. The film opens with newsreel footage, including the farewell address in 1961 of outgoing Presid… More:
